The Page Top module should be the primary first module choice for top-level pages. It is programmed to contain the correct Heading tags, and allows for a large image to span the width of the page with the page title slightly overlaid in an accessible manner.
Image choice in a Page Top should convey the general theme of the page. It is important to chose horizontal images that fit appropriately in the space. Avoid crops that cut off people's faces, important text information in the photo, or become pixelated when stretched to fit a desktop screen.
Because this is the first thing a visitor will see on a page, limit the text length and be concise in your writing. This allows the user to confirm they are in the right place, and get to the information they are searching for efficiently.
